My first material love, clay.

I was a potter in the 70's in Houston. So returning to clay all these years later is natural. This clay is called chocolate and will fire a dark cocoa brown. These  are 3"x 3"x 3" cubes. Test pieces. The upside down piece is being fabricated and is still wet, waiting for it to dry before I seal the seams.

The pieces are slightly burnished. Once completely dry they will be bisque fired. Not sure what surface I will put on them. Glaze? Encaustic? Metal leaf?
